The Spirit of Sport is a living piece of public art. Some of the tiles will change over time to allow Bolton's new sporting heroes to be honoured and to recognise sporting achievements in the years to come.
In February 2010 the Council announced the names of 50 new sporting heroes whose images are now displayed on the sculpture and this website.
It is anticipated that additional images will be installed in late 2012 or early 2013. Nominations giving details of individual sporting achievement and honours can be forwarded to:
