Biography	Dave has spent all his life playing sport. He represented Lancashire at badminton while at school and then spent a short spell as a professional Rugby League player before several heart attacks forced him to stop playing. A quadruple heart bypass operation and a kidney transplant were not enough to stop rugby-mad Dave from taking part in sport. He decided to return to playing badminton to help him recover and was then approached to take part in the World Transplant Games. Since then Dave has represented Great Britain twice and won seven gold, seven silver and four bronze medals at tournaments in the UK, France and Canada.
