Biography

Without Chris, there would almost certainly be no Rugby League in Westhoughton. He started the Westhoughton Lions Club in 1997 with one mixed under 7s and 8s team. His dedication in the early years, when he was secretary, head coach and almost everything else, saw the Westhoughton Lions Club develop and it now runs six teams at age groups under 8 to15 and provides sporting opportunities for over 100 children in the area. Whilst Chris’s involvement is now limited to coaching, his influence remains and his original vision is an inspiration to those who carry the Rugby League banner in Bolton.
