Biography

Jack was born in 1930 and has had an involvement in sport all his life. He was an active footballer, playing for Harwood and an active cricketer playing for Tonge Cricket Club, when he joined the RAF and did his national service. His main sport though was table tennis. He started in Castle Hill Youth Club prior to the RAF and on leaving the RAF, he joined St Andrews Methodist Church team and played with them for many years. In the last twenty years, he has played table tennis for the BEN team, and now plays for the second team. He is always keen to support young players.
