Biography	Mary has been involved in rounders for more than 37 years. She started playing rounders at at the age of 16 for the Bolton Post Office Team and then went on to form her own team ‘Redgate Ladies’, which she manages, captains and acts as secretary for. This team comprised of nurses and Ambulance staff from Bolton General Hospital, who were all novices to rounders. She tirelessly trained them in her spare time. (In the first season, not even winning a game). This did not deter her, she carried on and has now taken the team to ‘Section D’ in the league. She was asked to join the Bolton Sports Federation Rounders Committee which she did and is now the Vice-Chairman, the Social Secretary and the Trophies Secretary. Mary is also involved with the Inter-District teams which play during the Bolton Show and the Champion of Champions teams. She is also a referee for the league, refereeing matches every week, summer and winter and on cup weekends.
