Nick joined Bolton Lads Club as a young teenager and developed into one of Bolton’s best ever boxers. He was a dedicated boxer and won most of his 80 contests. A KO specialist, hard as nails, for years he was one of England’s top amateurs. Broken knuckles hampered him gaining an England vest. Even at top level Nick helped coach youngsters at the club. Turning professional, he was unbeaten and ranked in Britain’s top twenty before hand troubles forced him to retire. He still coaches young boxers at Bolton Lads Club when he can.
