Biography	Reverend Spedding introduced hovercrafts to two Bolton Schools in 1969, and led the National Hovercraft Racing Schools Team Championships in 1974. William raced in hovercraft championships throughout the UK from 1974-1985 and has been Secretary of the North West Branch of the Hovercraft Club since 1973 and a Member of the National Hovercraft Club Council since 1994. He has organised the northern leg of the National Hovercraft Races since the 1970s and taken part in TV programmes promoting Hovercraft racing, appearing with Jeremy Clarkson.
