The emergence of Paul Dugdale took Horwich RMI Harriers to a new level. Paul’s development from county standard to international athlete was mirrored by the club’s progress. However, his undoubted talent as one of the country’s leading athletes did not deter him from leaving a legacy as a committed clubman. Paul represented his country at the highest level in all disciplines, namely road, cross-country, track and fell. Amongst his national representation were the following: England World Trophy Mountain Running Team 1988/90; Great Britain Cross Country Team 1992/3; England Cross Country Team 1989; Great Britain Road Team 1991. As part of the Great Britian World Cross-Country Team, he won a Bronze medal in 1992.
