Biography

Barry has been involved in local amateur football for over 30 years. In this time he has managed teams at both Junior and Senior level, enjoying many successful seasons, winning both League and Cup competitions. Whilst managing the Breightmet United Under 18s team in 1995/96 season, he was awarded the Manager of the Year Trophy by the Bolton Boys Federation. He is currently Manager of the Breightment United 1st Team, who play in the Premier Division of the Manchester Football League. Prior to moving into management, Barry qualified as a Class 1 Referee and officiated in the Bolton local leagues for a number of years. As a reward for his involvement in local amateur football, he was presented with the Bolton Wanderers Goldline Long Service Achievement Award.
