Biography	Roy has been involved with local amateur football for well over 40 years as a player, a manager and as a Club administrator, both at Committee member level and as a Chairman and Club Secretary. As a player, Roy was successful in his early days, winning five championship medals with Old Boltonians in the Lancashire Amateur League in the 1960s. Following a long spell at Bolton Wyresdale, both in the Lancashire Amateur League and the Bolton Combination covering 22 years, he finished his playing career with the Veterans team at the age of 47. He was Chairman of Bolton Wyresdale for nine years following ten years as a Committee member. He has been involved with Breightmet United as an Assistant Manager with the Junior sides for more than ten years, and for three years as the Club Secretary.
