Biography

Alan has been associated with Bolton Wyresdale Amateur Football Club for more than 30 years – from Committee Officer to Club Secretary and now, Club President. He has represented this club and Bolton on the Committee of the Lancashire Amateur League, culminating in being awarded Lancashire Amateur League ‘Club Secretary’ of the year in 1991. From April to September he can only be found mowing Wyresdale’s two pitches – he’s not be found anywhere else, just ask his wife! A long serving ambassador to amateur football administration and commitment.
