Biography	John was born in 1922 and joined the Bolton Olympic Wrestling Club in 1937 and has been a member for 70 years. He has been a Committee member since 1947 and is a life president of Club. John coached eight local youngsters to Olympic level and was awarded the prestigious gold badge of the British Amateur Wrestling Association after completing 50 years of continuous service. John was awarded Bolton Civic Medal in 1997 and in 1999 received the MBE.
