Biography

Tony has dedicated over 40 years to the sport of Olympic wresting. He was a competitor from being a teenager and held Lancashire, Northern Regional and National titles. He put his valuable experience to coaching and was a voluntary coach for over 14 years at Bolton Olympic Wrestling Club. He then advanced to Regional Centre of Excellence Coach for 18 years. His dedication then saw him become National Coach and Team Manager. He has coached wrestlers to international standard, including cadet World Champions and was coach for the 1994 Commonwealth Games team in Canada where his team achieved three silver and one bronze medal.
